A Call to Action: Direct Action Safety and Best Practices

AFSCME members, leaders, activists, and staff are invited to participate in this important training in preparation for the No King’s Day Mobilization, Saturday, March 28, 2026, a nationwide nonviolent demonstration affirming democratic governance and worker voice.

Topics include: First Amendment rights, appropriate interactions with law enforcement, protest safety preparation, digital awareness, de-escalation techniques, and strategies for maintaining nonpartisan messaging within coalition actions.

This self-paced session will help participants prepare for mass mobilizations by learning practical tools to stay safe, informed, and disciplined during public demonstrations.
